My history
I was born in San Francisco and grew up in Fresno, California. I have degrees in both art and psychology from California State University Fresno, and I have always enjoyed cooking. As an only child of two working parents, I began cooking as a very young girl.
During my lifetime, I have taught school on and off, but being a mother, and now a Nonna (grandmother), is what makes me the most happy. I love my family, cooking, working in the garden, traveling, and having friends over. Cooking has always been my avocation and I have always found great pleasure being in the kitchen.
Although not professionally trained, I have learned much from cooking with an Italian Nonna, a professional chef, many experienced cooks, and have attended several cooking classes in Italy.
